The holidays can bring an increased burden to families that are already struggling to make ends meet. The Adopt-a-Family program helps by connecting low-income families with anonymous holiday sponsors. Area residents, churches, businesses and organizations volunteer to adopt a family.

Donor Information

This is a wonderful way that our community shares the holiday spirit with our neighbors in need.

Adopt-a-Family donors will receive a list that contains two “needs” and two “wants” ideas for each child under 18 in the family as well as ideas for a family gift. The donors shop for gifts and deliver them to the WeCAN office in Mound.  The suggested spending guideline for gifts is $50 per child and an additional $50 for the family gift.
