Adopt a Family 2009 at St. John's Lutheran Church

This program helps connect low-income families with anonymous holiday sponsors. Area residents, churches, businesses and organizations volunteer to adopt one special family. WeCAN supplies the donors with a list that contains wants and needs for the family and each child under 18. The donors shop for gifts, wrap their packages and deliver them to St. John’s Lutheran Church in Mound.

This is a wonderful way that our community shares their holiday spirit.

Eligibility
Must live in Greenfield, Independence, Loretto, Maple Plain, Minnetonka Beach, Minnetrista, Mound, Rockford, Spring Park, St. Bonifacius, Tonka Bay or Western Orono and have financial need. Children living in the home under the age of 18 are eligible.

Intake Procedure
Call to make an appointment. Registration dates for Adopt-A-Family 2010 are Tuesday, October 12th, 2-7 pm and Thursday, October 14th 9-4 pm.
